IA joined over 50 business groups in sending an open letter to WTO Trade Ministers on the WTO e-commerce talks. The letter urges governments to build on the progress achieved thus far to negotiate an ambitious WTO framework on trade-related aspects of electronic commerce that is commercially significant and negotiated in a timely fashion. The letter was sent as 75 countries released a statement in Davos signaling the start of negotiations to put in place global rules on electronic commerce.
