IA joined 27 organizations to help release the Global Industry Position Paper on the WTO E-Commerce Initiative. The paper indicates that digital trade is critical to the prosperity of all economies and the ability of companies of all sizes and in all sectors to produce, move, market, and sell products and services around the world. In order to provide countries with the tools necessary to ensure that companies can continue to grow, innovate, and create jobs, the global industry strongly supports efforts to secure a World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreement on E-Commerce that is inclusive, high-standard, and commercially meaningful.
