IA organized a multi association letter to USTR in support of the inclusion of safe harbor language in the upcoming UK and Kenya FTAs. The letter made clear that all of the signers believe that the FTA’s currently being negotiated must include copyright safe harbors from liability for online service providers, including language modeled on the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), which has been a cornerstone of U.S. innovation and protection for rights holders for two decades.
