Statement On NTIA’s Privacy Principles Request For Comment

Washington, DC – Internet Association President and CEO Michael Beckerman issued the following statement on NTIA’s privacy principles request for comment:

“The internet industry commends NTIA for leading an important national dialogue on the importance of modernizing America’s approach to data privacy. Americans deserve – and internet companies support – a modern approach to privacy regulation that meets consumer demands and provides a clear and consistent framework from coast to coast. The internet industry looks forward to commenting throughout the NTIA process and is committed to working with all stakeholders to modernize our national privacy framework in a way that protects Americans and allows for future innovation.”
