Statement On President Trump’s Memorandum On Combating Trafficking In Counterfeit And Pirated Goods

Washington, DC – Internet Association General Counsel Jon Berroya issued the following statement in response to President Trump’s Memorandum on Combating Trafficking in Counterfeit and Pirated Goods:

“IA member companies maintain clear anti-counterfeiting policies and partner with enforcement agencies, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative programs and tools that allow third parties to identify and remove counterfeit items from their platforms in a timely manner.  IA looks forward to working with the administration to highlight these policies and tools, and discuss emerging counterfeiting trends and law enforcement needs.”
