Statement On The Introduction Of The House Resolution Calling For The Ethical Development Of Artificial Intelligence

Washington, DC – Internet Association Director, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and Counsel Sean Perryman released the following statement on the introduction of the House of Representatives resolution by Reps. Brenda L. Lawrence and Ro Khanna calling for ethical development of artificial intelligence:

“The internet industry commends the House of Representatives for its leadership in developing a set of goals for the ethical development of artificial intelligence (AI). Governments across the globe are considering the ethical implications of the use of AI, and this resolution will help start an important conversation about America’s moral leadership in the deployment of AI across every sector of society and economy.”
