“I feel compelled to personally acknowledge that our nation is – yet again – struggling to make sense of the unconscionable killing of George Floyd and so many other black men and women… [U]ntil we collectively acknowledge, understand, prioritize, and take meaningful steps to end systemic racism in this country, our history will continue to repeat itself. This is something that we the people, and you, our elected leaders, must work together to address.”
