Christina Martin

Senior Vice President, Global Communications and Public Affairs


Christina Martin is Senior Vice President, Global Communications and Public Affairs and is responsible for strategic communications and advocacy on key internet policy issues. She leads IA’s communications, creative, and events teams.

Most recently, Christina was Executive Vice President of the Corn Refiners Association (CRA) with responsibility for government relations, communications, and policy staff, resulting in fully integrated advocacy and award-winning image campaigns. Previously, she was Executive Vice President of the Renewable Fuels Association. Christina was the first woman to serve on the management teams of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) and its predecessor organization, the Securities Industry Association (SIA), which Wall Street Journal recognized as “Wall Street’s leading trade group.” She held the position of Senior Managing Director, Global Strategic Communications. Additionally, Christina was Executive Vice President for Powell Tate|Weber Shandwick and Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and Communications for the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA – The Wireless Association).

Christina has served as a spokesperson and communications strategist for key policymakers at the federal and state levels. As press secretary to Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, she was named by Roll Call newspaper as one of the “50 most powerful staffers on Capitol Hill.” She also worked for Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and three presidential campaigns in addition to serving as chief of staff to a California Member of Congress. She began her career in various roles within the White House Office of Communications.

Christina earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Kansas and was a Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government’s Institute of Politics. She presently sits on the Board of Directors of Green Seal, a global eco-label that applies rigorous standards for health and sustainability to drive market transformation and innovation.
